Acceptable Use Policy

This Mach Labs Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") applies to your use of Synthesis AI, Inc. ("SAI")'s Mach Labs services, applications and websites and is incorporated into SAI's Terms of Use. In accordance with the Terms of Use, SAI reserves its right to suspend or terminate your access to SAI's services, applications and websites (individually and collectively, the "Services") for any violation of this AUP.

You agree not to use the Services:

  • in any way that violates any applicable national, federal, state, local or international law or regulation;
  • for the purpose of exploiting, harming or attempting to exploit or harm any individual, including without limitation, minors in any way;
  • to generate or disseminate verifiably false information and/or content (a) with the purpose of harming or misleading others, (b) to interfere with, or participate in, elections or election campaigns, or (c) to discredit or undermine individuals, groups, entities, or institutions;
  • for fraudulent purposes;
  • to input, generate, or create output that contains personal information related to any individual other than (a) yourself, (b) a completely fictional individual, (c) an individual that you have received prior, informed written consent from specifically authorizing you to submit such individual's personal information (including, specifically, voice and likeness) to the Services, or (d) public figures that have died at least one hundred years prior to the date that you submitted their information to the Services, the foregoing (a)-(d) includes (without limitation) inputting any photos, audio, videos or any other media containing individuals other than those referred to in (a)-(d);
  • to impersonate any individual to create "deepfakes";
  • to engage in any misleading or deceptive advertising practices, such as creating false testimonials or endorsements, or using cloned individuals or in a way that implies false endorsement or affiliation;
  • to commercially exploit any individual (including, without limitation, any celebrity or politician);
  • to access or attempt to access private information to harass or spy on any person;
  • to falsely attribute content, or to mislead others about its origin;
  • to upload, share, post, email, transmit, query or otherwise make available any sensitive personal information, whether related to yourself or to other individuals, including financial, medical, or health data, government IDs, passport numbers, social security numbers, other government identifiers or data regarding children;
  • to simulate or depict sexually explicit content, such as sexual intercourse, fetishes or fantasies, to facilitate or promote erotic chats, or to create material that depicts or promotes incest, bestiality or sexual violence;
  • to simulate or depict violent content;
  • to defame, disparage, harass, or embarrass others;
  • to create hate speech, or to create content that reinforces harmful stereotypes based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics;
  • for fully automated decision-making that adversely impacts an individual's legal rights or otherwise creates or modifies a binding, enforceable obligation;
  • for any use intended to or which has the effect of discriminating against or harming individuals or groups based on online or offline social behavior or known or predicted personal or personality characteristics;
  • to exploit any of the vulnerabilities of a specific group of persons based on their age, social, physical or mental characteristics, in order to materially distort the behavior of a person pertaining to that group in a manner that causes or is likely to cause that person or another person physical or psychological harm (or any use intended to or which has the effect of discriminating against individuals or groups based on legally protected characteristics or categories);
  • to provide medical advice and medical results interpretation; or
  • to generate or disseminate information for the purpose to be used for administration of justice, law enforcement, immigration or asylum processes, such as predicting an individual will commit fraud/crime commitment (e.g., by text profiling, drawing causal relationships between assertions made in documents, indiscriminate and arbitrarily-targeted use).
